Not at home, but in restaurants and all - heavier or stronger-tasting beers wouldn't go very well with food, but in summer if you're sitting outside in a restaurant having lunch or so, Hoegaarden and other whitbeers (witbeers? witbier? white beers? whichever ;) ) are perfectly suitable imho.


It's too fruity-sweet/spicy for my liking to go with food. I'm weird about flavor combinations though. I'm aware that it's completely irrational (because I have no problem drinking wine with savory foods, but then I don't drink sweet wines either), but there you have it :D I prefer the less sweet beers with food.

Witbier I guess? But if you don't know, there's really no chance for the rest of us :P
