So, uh... I'm a Chelsea fan and obviously completely neutral on this matter. But what THE HELL.

Seems a little harsh, right? No new signings until January 2011.

Er, yeah, that's rather unprecedented... when I saw your title I first thought it was a joke, then that it was a bizarre FIFA move to tackle the rampant and rather unhealthy way in which teams like Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and others buy players nowadays (though then they could hardly have singled out Chelsea so). But as punishment for doing that, yes, very weird. I don't imagine the story will end there.
