Yea, I hope to be back to work by Wednesday, then I'll really be screwed!
Uh.... If you're going to wait ten days to find out, I'm afraid you'll be late even watching the highlights. (-:,`
Defense is definitely something the Colts need to work on, but they are better than you give them credit for.
Unfortunately, the "toughness" of a team is pretty subjective. You claim the Saints did better against tougher opponents, but how are they tougher? Just because you believe them to be? You may be right. I don't really have the inclination or time to look back at the schedule and see how the Saints' opponents did against the Colts' opponents. Maybe Indianapolis coasted into the Super Bowl on an easy schedule. And maybe the Saints will manhandle the Colts like you claim in your prediction. And maybe your bias is just showing through.
What we have seen from this Indianapolis team is that they find a way to win. It's not always pretty, but they get the job done. I stand by my prediction: Colts in an exciting and close game.
They didn't play many of the same opponents, actually; if the NFC AND AFC South didn't happen to both be playing the AFC East I think their only common opponent would be the Rams (somehow the Rams were evidently second in the West last year, which just shows how bad that Division is. )
Was a good game, and the Colts D played a lot better than I expected; not the shootout I expected at all. I think the right team won, but Indy has nothing to be ashamed of at all.

We'll find out in about ten days, and if I'm wrong I'm on record and have to live with it, but I think whichever team won the NFC last week would beat Indy in a Super Bowl; Indys only real hope is more playoff experience. Again, IMHO.

The Jets and Ravens made the playoffs on their D, not their offensive firepower.

As a Broncos fan it's difficult for me to like the Colts.
