I think you're taking the tone of the replies too seriously. They were made in the spirit of an attitude which, like ChoraGregShrike said, entails "waking up after drinking ourselves silly in friendship and fun." It's a different level of discourse (discourse might be overstating it) than a political discussion.

As to the lack of sexy, well, I typically fix that situation by taking off my shirt to reveal a black and gold fleur de lis emblazoned on my sweaty chest, which I then pound while howling a Tarzan yell to the general tune of "When the Saints Go Marching In."
