-Ambulance
-6 hours in the ER
-consultation visits
-one failed attempt at surgery (ankle still too swollen to operate, but required operating room/anaesthetic usage to properly cast her ankle in the meantime).
-one successful surgery to install plates/screws
-followup consultations visits
-casts


Maybe more. No ambulance, no surgery.
I had an antibiotic IV and was given a couple aspirins or something similar. I talked to the doc for something less than three minutes. He put a blanket on me and then left.

With insurance (only covered a little) I paid $1500 for the ER/IV/etc and a separate $300 for the doctor. You're looking at somewhere around $10K, I'd say, unless I'm horribly mis-estimating surgery costs and the like.

(congrats on the engagement and stuff though! Unfortunately, it might be a better idea to just chop her leg off now though.)
