That sucks. When I was taken to a hospital that didn't necessarily need the ambulance it was over $900. They did nothing but drive me there. I wrote a letter to the place I was at complaining. They gave me the option of being taken in a police car, bound, or the ambulance.

The police car would have been free. .. . . .

You should also contact the hospital now and the doctor's place you have to pay and set up payments now. Or try to qualify for something.
