Let alone repeatedly? Have you complained to her or within her earshot about your mom, or vocalized a wish to have more help from her? Or is she just purely extrapolating from her own experience and thinking that she couldn't do what you're proposing without the help of her mom, so nobody else could either? Does she just think that you clearly (to her) need help with your kids and the obvious place to get it is from your mom, and since you don't have that you're in trouble?
