He thought he was starting, or at least continuing, a bloody revolution. To dismiss him as simply (yet another) lone nut would be very dangerous, IMHO, because we're seeing more and more of these lone nuts, and many of his complaints echoed those of the 911 hijackers eerily; he just happened to live in the country they both hold responsible. To ignore their motivation and simply try to prevent more such aberrant behavior is a bandaid solution to a lethal problem.
