By "spend time," I mean that we have to pretend that the characters of a book exist within the frame of what has been written for them, but also that they exist while not on-screen (so to speak). They don't just disappear between the PoVs in which they are featured, and they have free will outside of those PoVs. The towns exist, their individual personalities, homes, families, friends exist, etc.

You could, I don't know, hang with them while off-screen, observe or *gasp* mess up the narrative!

Hogwarts would be AWESOME

Choice 2 would be the Redwall series, as long as I actually get inside the Abbey of course (or Salamandastron maybe). Apparently the food is pretty good too :P

Also, I wouldn't mind Westeros, as long as I got to choose the when and where. Astapor, for example, would completely suck.

Otoh, which work would you avoid like The Plague?
(chuckle)

The Deltora Quest Series (except for after the 3rd series of course). The land is dying and everyone seems to be starving to death, not to mention the eternal presence of the Shadow Lord.

Very childish series involved, I know :P
*MySmiley*

I have nothing to add. I just wanted to be included in this thread.
