Scenario:
-you're woken up at 9-9:30 by neighbors fighting. They are very angry, with the male using a very loud, irate voice. You can't even really hear the female (at some point you have a dream that some man is abusing a woman and that you do something, but then you wake up more confused as to what is real or not).
-you're relieved when the fighting calms down after an hour or so.
-several hours later, you revoke your relief as the fighting starts back up again, accompanied by large thumping noises that shake your own apartment.
-You assume that one of them is either pissed enough to move OR to hurt the other person.
-You:
A) take action, calling the police or something?
B) pretend it will all be alright, even though you have no idea?
(I am in a foreign country and can't decipher loud, angry British. I have no idea what they were saying except for: "You were out until 3 in the fucking morning!" and I only got that because it was repeated something like 90 times in an excited Olympic announcer level voice.)

I remember driving down the street one night and seeing a man strangling a woman on a street corner. I did a u turn and put my flood lights onto them, and rolled down my window to hear what was going on. Apparently she was some prostitute (that looked coked out and sounded it to boot) talking to either her dealer or her pimp. I was going to call the cops, but then realized they would both end up going to jail, and I doubted the cops would come anyway.I still feel bad about leaving, but I honestly felt helpless in the situation, and knew that she would be pissed at my "helping her" be put into jail.
