I have a *lot* of cats. A few months ago, I was painting the walls and floor of our bedroom. I had visions of cat prints all over the floor and leading down the hallway. I also envisioned cat hair textured paint on the walls.

I must add that we live in an old house in which some of the doors, including the bedroom, do not close properly. So it wasn't possible to simply close the door. I had the door as closed as it gets, which means the bigger cats just have to push at it a bit to open it.

I wrapped duct tape, sticky side up, around the lid to an old plastic container (that was about the width of the doorway). Once inside with the door as closed as it gets, my husband put the "trap" in front of the door.

Not one cat made it in! They tried...boy, they were pissed! I had to change the tape a couple of times, though!
