I get headaches if I'm beginning to get dehydrated, and they're pretty friggin uncomfortable. So I drink a lot of water.
On an average day? Close to a gallon, I would think. I have a one litre water bottle that I usually polish off during the nights--frequently I drink two--and that's not counting tea, coffee, or juice. I usually have two or three cups of tea throughout the day, and I generally drink about two cups of juice during my meals. And I usually have a cup of water with each meal. And then I get water between classes, etc.
So... probably close to a gallon of water, and upwards of that when I exercise. Of fluids? I really have no idea. My general rule of thumb is that I want to see very little color in my urine.
Headaches.
I think it's about 8 cups, no?
Oh, yeah, great source of hydration.
Probably, though it depends on your bladder. I don't notice dehydration too much when I wake up. Mostly because I'm focusing on how miserable I am.
1) How much liquid do you drink a day? How much water do you drink a day (I count things like Gatorade and Powerade as they are mostly water)?

3) Do you know how much water a day you should drink?

4) Screw water give me alcohol?
Oh, yeah, great source of hydration.

5) Do you think I was dehydrated?
Probably, though it depends on your bladder. I don't notice dehydration too much when I wake up. Mostly because I'm focusing on how miserable I am.

What I grew up hearing was 8 cups per day. Which is 1/2 gallon. Meaning he's doing... 8 times that. *NM*

Maybe he meant a liter. I could see that, especially considering he's military.

A liter is more than a quart by a hair, and his value is fine, depending on circumstances
