I slept in today and then went to the gym around 3. On the way there I drank about 20 oz. of a sports drink and then began drinking a 1.5 liter water bottle.
It was "legs day" and I did about an hour of brisk walking scattered between my weight sets. During my roughly 2 hour workout I finished the 1.5 liter water and began my drive home.
On the way home I drank a 32 oz. and since being home from approximately 7 to 3 (I have insomnia) I have drank three large glasses of water. I'll estimate each at approximately 10 ounces of water each.
So, since 3 this afternoon I have drank approximately 132 oz. of fluids and hit the b-room once (and it wasn't all that impressive). I finally feel like I am ready to hit the b-room again, with a better outcome this time!
The only thing I can figure is that I must have been dehydrated big time when I got up this morning to go to the gym. The strange thing though is that I didn't really feel like it and I usually know by symptom when I am. Oh well, I must have needed all that fluid.
So, survey part:
1) How much liquid do you drink a day? How much water do you drink a day (I count things like Gatorade and Powerade as they are mostly water)?
I mostly drink water, I eat meds that make me very thirsty and can get me severely dehydrated. I can't say how much but at least five litres in a day.
2) Do you know when you are dehydrated? If so, how? Do you get headaches, feel tired, etc.? What are your signs that let you know?
Headaches is what I normally get.
3) Do you know how much water a day you should drink?
No, I just drink when I'm thirsty. Which is very often.
4) Screw water give me alcohol?
5) Do you think I was dehydrated?
I have no idea.

What I grew up hearing was 8 cups per day. Which is 1/2 gallon. Meaning he's doing... 8 times that. *NM*

Maybe he meant a liter. I could see that, especially considering he's military.

A liter is more than a quart by a hair, and his value is fine, depending on circumstances

Oh yeah.
I was thinking of a quart as a half gallon. Never mind me.
