I can see both sides of it, and neither of you is going to win this argument. The Catholic church is not fundamentally about paedophilia, no matter how many priests have committed the crime or how many others have helped them cover it up. AND, paedophilia is Bad, and it's proven that priests/religious leaders have made many bad decisions/actions regarding the subject. Ok.
On the other hand, it's meant to be funny, so the above argument is a complete tangent from the spirit of the OP. If some found it offensive, fine, it is- humor often is. We should probably all just agree that it doesn't do anything to argue it out other than piss people off.
