And just pointing out, I hate "soft white peaks." It never seems like I'm doing it right...they just dont seem peaky enough :P

Hmm I've done some pretty stupid stuff before but none of its been spectacularly ruined...I tend to avoid cooking whenever I can :P I try to stick with cookies where you can't really go wrong.

I think the funniest story I ever heard though was my friend's. She was visiting her boyfriend at his college, and it was really early on a monday morning and she was trying to make grilled cheese or something. Idk what exactly it was, but it caught on fire and started smoking and she was attempting to open the windows to let out the smoke while putting out the fire-bread, but the windows kept falling down so she had to try and prop them open with various utensils. Unfortunately, she didn't manage to open enough, so the fire alarm went off. And she spent the rest of her week there terrified to leave her boyfriend's room because everyone was glaring at that girl that made them stand in the cold rain at 8am on a monday because she couldn't make a sandwich :D
