LeBron is a great player and will go down as a great player. But come on. How quickly we forget that MJ scored more, dunked more powerfully, was a better defender (though LeBron has good help defense he lacks overall defense), had an outside shot, low post moves, and a fade away. So far LeBron has dunking ability and driving ability. And by the looks of his horrendous shooting form, he's not going to become a lights out shooter anytime soon.

And let's not forget that MJ had MUCH more talent to go up against, with greats like Bird, McHale, Parish, Ewing, Isiah Thomas, Charles Barkley and so many great players on both defense and offense. Who does LeBron have? MJ also played in an DEFENSE oriented era. Guys like Ewing could camp out in the paint because there was no defensive 3 second violation. We're talking about one of THE great centers of all time. Maybe the best defensive center ever (I just now realized I forgot to include Alonzo Morning in my earlier list). And MJ dunked over him. I rarely, if ever, see LeBron dunk OVER anyone. He's just not as powerful as MJ.

It's easy to be impressed with LeBron, because he is an impressive player, but MJ has done so much more even at equal stages in their careers (you can even take out LeBron's first two years) and MJ still would surpass him.

LeBron is just THAT egotistical. NO ONE goes out their (especially a great player) and says to himself "I'm aiming for the scoring championship." You do what you need to win. That's what MJ did and it's what Kobe does.

And Kobe is the closest thing we've seen to MJ. LeBron isn't.
