Sounds like a good idea to me. All the Kiwis can come to the mainland for work and we can send all the tourists to NZ to spend their money on LotR tours.

The only problem I'd have is that the politcal pool for both Australia and NZ sucks the hairy ones right now; even in the US where I'm living atm, I hear about retarded decisions the poli's are making.
