it has many advantages.

1. None of that clunky machine eating graphics.
2. Very good customizability.
3. It's great if you play against friends.
4. It's in space!
5. It is turn based. You can take your time playing it.

And some disadvantages:

1. I am not sure it is possible to buy a serial now.
2. Being from 1996, it might not live up to certain standards you might have about a wide playing base.
3. Liking numbers is a must.
