Some thoughts Colonel Logain Send a noteboard - 03/09/2010 03:31:26 AM
I've been playing with my friends for a while, and I'd like to hear some thoughts/opinions on my deck. It has done quite well in our games, but I'm thinking of changing my Dark Banishings to Doomblades. I mainly play 3 player multiplayer but also 1v1.

Here's the deck:

Land

18 Swamp

4 Leechridden Swamp

Not really worth running 4. Maybe 2

Crypt of Agadeem

23 lands doesn't seem like enough


Creatures

Ascendant Evincar

3 Gatekeeper of Malakir

Cut back to 2

2 Pulse Tracker

Barony Vampire

I'd get rid of this

2 Quag Vampires

Anowon, the Ruin Sage

2 Repentant Vampire

Butcher of Malakir

Ruthless Cullblade

2 Child of Night

2 Kalastria Highborn

3 Bloodhusk Ritualist

3 is probably overkill

Vampire Hexmage

Mirri the Cursed

2 Guul Draz Vampire

Vampire Nighthawk

I'd definitely get one more of these, and probably take out a Bloodhusk Ritualist to do so

Captivating Vampire

Artifacts

Coat of Arms

Elixir of Immortality

Spells

Aphetto Dredging

Needlebite Trap

Diabolic Tutor

Seeing as you have so many finishers in this deck, do you find this card that useful?

2 Essence Drain

Get rid of them. Nowhere near as good as some of the other cards in this deck

3 Feast of Blood

2 Unholy Strength

2 Revive the Fallen

2 Corrupt

2 Blood Tithe

Good for games with several players, but I'd take these out for 2 player games

2 Hideous End

2 Blood Tribute

2 Dark Banishing

Replace with Doom Blades. You have enough other removal to compensate for not being able to destroy black creatures

Festering Wound

This card seems a bit out of place in this deck.

Bond of Agony

Total Cards: 75

So, thoughts?

You have a lot of very nice cards. My main concern is your low land count. Do you ever find yourself short of a few lands?

Maybe throw in a Scion of Darkness so you can raid your opponent's graveyard

Also, I'd try to get a Liliana Vess in there.
