Marines are still amazing (can hit air, decent damage, decent price, stimpak)
One of the Terrans big things is flexibility. Unlike Protoss, who have entire BUILDINGS for just one unit, Terran unit prouction is pretty centralized.
So, you can be making an army that can handle anti-air, then realize the enemy has almost NO air, and then just make a bunch of seige tanks, all without having to build new buildings.
