Most exciting, the fifth and final class has been announced as the Demon Hunter. The Demon Hunter is a ranged/gadget character, using crossbows, grenades, and bolas.
A crafting system has been announced. Players will be accompanied by a caravan of three different artisans, each of whom players can upgrade from apprentice to master that provide expanded benefits including removing gems and runes from weapons, reforing and upgrading items to make them more useful, etc.
PvP will be possible in Diablo 3 in an arena format, usually with coop teams though deathmatch will probably be available as well.
While no release date has been set, my personal opinion is for next year fall or spring 2012 with the outside chance of as early as next summer.
