That's exactly why I enjoy it so much. There's always so much to learn, so much to improve upon, the challenge is always there, and the gratification for every victory is correspondingly fantastic.
Much as I enjoy a lot of single player games, once you've finished it, there's not much more you can do about it. For the entertainment StarCraft has brought me over the past twelve years, I'd have needed to churn out a new game like Super Castlevania at least weekly, if not more.
Plus, I can watch the masters play it like a beautiful symphony.
