I was only out for about half a year though. In the end, I was just missing out on too much fun. I'm able to better regulate my playtime now, though, since I'm no longer taking part in any raiding. A year and a half ago I was raiding seven or eight hours a week on top of my regular playtime, and it became too much. But I highly, highly enjoy all of the new content and how much can be soloed.

There are a few elites still hanging around, but none of them are involved with quests unless they provide some means of letting you solo them. There's an elite monster in Loch Modan, in what's left of the lake, and I was nearly killed by one swimming in the lake in Redridge. I've had to skirt around a couple others I've come across.
