Age of Empires 2 was the bomb and I played Age of Empires 3 on Hamachi with a friend for a while, before he started playing WoW at least. I still wish they would revisit the time period of the first Age of Empires with all the improved technology and evolution of the genre in general, but until then I've got Rome Total War to take care of my ancient warfare craving....
