So, I woke up early to find some of my friends on Steam already playing Portal 2. (seems the efforts of Valve's "Potato Sack" promotion saw the PC version releasing a few hours early) The hour I put in before work was top notch, though that's not exactly a surprise.
My only minor complaint is load screens. It's not that they're a sin to have, though. It's just that Valve games haven't really had them in the past, preferring more brief, incremental loads that keep gameplay flowing. In their defense, I suppose it may be a concession for the ram-deficient consoles. Plus, it's not such a hassle when it only happens in the elevators anyway. I'll get over it, as the game is otherwise exceeding my expectations.
Another interesting tidbit, for those who may not have been aware... The PS3 version will feature a version of Steamworks that allows it to play with those on the PC. This kind of thing is why Valve is an industry leader.

The sword might be grateful to the forge fire, but never fond of it.
A Portal 2 thread, you monster.

Agreed. As masterful as Portal was, I'd rather wait for a price drop. *NM*

Stating that it seems overpriced to her != a "holier than thou" attitude.

Bulletstorm is single-player + coop only and sold for $60. What do you want?

Given that short review, I'd say anyone buying Bulletstorm is being severely ripped off.

To be fair, it's my opinion of the BS (hah) demo. A case of interesting gimmick + bad execution.

If it's as long as Portal 1, then I completely agree

Thank you, Gher. And that last statement is kind of what I'd like to avoid
