And yeah, with the EPP which you have access to thanks to a family member working for the company, it's definitely worth the discount of building yourself. It's not QUITE as obscene as it used to be (we used to get SSDs for ridiculous amounts off, but that's no longer the case), but processor discounts are still VERY solid.
Hit up your Dad - he should be able to get you some prices.
