The framerate limit is a good idea; I know in SC2 there were issues where the computer was rendering things many more times than it had to, leading to heating issues. But Blizzard patched that, and I really doubt they'd let something like that slide in WoW.


Yeah, that's actually what made me think of the idea. I remembered SCII causing peoples' cards to overheat, and that the fix was to limit the framerate. So I googled "WoW framerate limit." And I agree that WoW probably doesn't have a framerate bug like SCII did, but framerates of 60 or so are perfectly reasonable. If j-whitt's card is capable of framerates like that, then limiting to 30 should definitely help.

Hm... now I'm wondering if WoW could run on an iPad (I know you can use one as a glorified remote control for your computer and play WoW that way). :D


Probably. There are some people out there who get their kicks from making WoW run on all sorts of weird systems. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd gotten it running on a toaster by now. :P
