Thanks! It was surprisingly easy. Aemon Send a noteboard - 21/05/2011 03:11:30 AM
I removed 8 screws and a plug, and found myself holding a regular ol' 2.5" SATA hard drive. Open the top of the new Xbox, and what do I see but a standard, easy to access SATA port. The whole process took less than two minutes. It's even relatively secure (I wouldn't want to move the box around too much, but it's not just wobbling around) so I didn't bother to buy a new enclosure for it.

Now, the slightly more difficult part is making a regular 2.5" hard drive (one that didn't come out of an Xbox ) work. I haven't had to bother with that yet, though. 17gb (roughly the amount of usable space between 20gb drive and 4gb internal memory) is enough for me. I don't really do the whole on-demand thing yet.
