But how much of that is based on availability? Dannymac Send a noteboard - 04/08/2011 08:25:27 PM
I mean, nowadays the only way most people find old games are in the bargain bin at Gamestop or Best Buy. The old games that are available are typically not the best ones.

That is slowly starting to change. After years of trying to get my hands on Castlevania SOTN it was finally available on XBox Live and I grabbed it. I'm still waiting for GOG.com to get the rights to Sierra's old Quest for Glory series. Buying them in their original format would be like trying to find a first edition copy of Fellowship of the Ring; you can do it, but it takes patience and a fair chunk of change.

I'm not into this for the fetish property... I just want the good old game, more like buying the fellowship of the Ring in paperback.

Does that analogy make sense?

Depending on the game, $5-10 is perfect for me - 03/08/2011 05:46:43 PM 658 Views

Varies wildly on the game. 2D ages much better than 3D. - 03/08/2011 10:38:13 PM 634 Views
I would basically agree with this. *NM* - 04/08/2011 03:06:30 AM 267 Views
