Dark Souls is out today... which is probably going to be either truly loved as a definitive RPG or hated as too ruthlessly difficult to truly enjoy. It's getting absolute rave reviews. As it's only available on a console... should be a good PS3 purchase. I do not believe that you need to play the 'prequel' Demon Souls to enjoy this game.
