With 3DS being $169, which is equal to or close to the price points of all previous DS models (excepting DS Lites when you can find one), is there any point to buying anything other than the 3DS? Would someone be content with a similarly priced DSi XL or should a person jump to the 3DS even if they don't care about 3D?
Is there any advantage previous models have over the 3DS?
I honestly don't see any reason to upgrade beyond my first gen DS. The games I have are relatively new, and they seem perfectly fine on my handhold. Of course, I don't play very often so that might change if I were to find a game worthy of a few hours of playtime. Overall, I've been pretty underwhelmed by the selection I've seen.
