Despite my MMO distaste, I really enjoyed GW. I think it had a lot to do with how the game let you play at leisure. By that, I mean lack of subscription kept me from feeling obligated.

The other bad part about MMOs, despite some of them looking really neat, is the need to coordinate your RL to play with online people. Random people we'll likely never meet, yet we feel obligated to schedule time for them. Sure, some guild relationships turn into lasting friendships, or more likely long-term friend-listers, but it just isn't worth it for me anymore.
