I can almost see your point about it not being entirely logical.... But it still seems sensible to me, lol. And in any case, this is the way I'll continue playing regardless of anything. If I truly can't bear to part with an item, I'll just utilize the dreaded quick travel feature to dump my stuff off at my house and then return for it 

There's no right or wrong way to play a game. As long as you're having fun, you can do whatever crazily rationalized stuff you want.
 I just don't see the difference, that's all. But then, I've been accused by some ( *cough*shadow*cough* ) of being too results/performance/stats focused, so maybe that's part of the problem.
