History: I bought WoW right around its release, and played for two years, then quit. A year later, I bought Burning Crusade, and played for about 4-5 months. Results:

1) What server do you play on?

I played on Eonar, and (I think) Exodar. Was Exodar released right around the time of BC? If so, that's definitely the one.

2) Horde or Alliance?

Alliance. I much preferred the character models over every horde race, didn't care for several of the horde areas (barrens? ugh), and on both my servers, Alliance far out-populated Horde. Many more PvE options with Alliance.

3) What class(es)?

First class ever was a human warrior, full protection spec. These were the days when absolutely NO ONE played those, too. They were far and away the most underpowered class in the game. Took me forever to level, but I finally got to 60, and guilds were practically banging down my door trying to recruit me. Tanks soon got buffed, but not before I had the best tanking blues in the game for quite a good while. Twas fun.

Next up was a gnome mage. I played him to 60 as well, and this was my first real raiding character, during the Molten Core heyday. I learned something with this guy: dps is not "easy." It's not hard exactly, but in mid-level blues, I consistently out-damaged rogues with good blues and a few epics. In a 40-man raid, I was usually number 1. Obviously some of that had to do with frost spec being well suited to molten core, and the couple of AOE spots, but still: I never knew there was much skill to dps-ing. Oh, I also played this mage up to 70 when BC came out, but didn't do much with him.

My main BC character was a Draenai Paladin. I probably had more fun with this guy than anything else, primarily because: healing is fun. It really is. I don't know why. During the few months I played this guy I had little to do besides game and school, and since I played on a brand new server, I was the top healer on the server (paladin or priest) for the duration of my tenure. THAT was fun. Main healing heroics when they were first introduced was a definite challenge. Ah for the days when 1200 +heal (in blues, no less) was something to be proud of.

Misc characters: late 50s human priest, mid 40s human warlock.
