...It's a 80-hour JRPG with some serious pacing issues in the later half.

If that doesn't deter you, then check it out. It's one of the best examples of the genre. It also has a soundtrack by Yasunori Mitsuda. It rivals Chrono Cross's as his best work, I think, although I'd give CC the edge.
