Pretty much my thoughts exactly. ironclad Send a noteboard - 06/03/2012 11:20:37 PM
As far as I know, Colonial America didn't have ancient, towering buildings like Italy did.

That was my first reaction: What am I gonna climb on?
It sounds as if they definitely want us to climb on trees and explore the wilderness. Which is not what I connect with AC, but after some thought I concluded that it's good they try something new.

I also picture it as more... untamed. Swamp fighting, skulking through the woods, that kind of thing. And there's a lot of chatter that the main character is at least partially American Indian, so that's interesting.

oh? I'd like that.

It'll be cool, though I sort of hope they emphasize stealth more, which your post doesn't make me hopeful for.

Most obvious pitfall is to avoid falling into the "AMERICA IS THE LAND OF FREEDOM" trap, which would just be kind of annoying. But judging from the "extras" from the previous games that imply the Templars infiltrated the US gov't long ago, that seems unlikely.

Heh, I thought that too.

Could be cool, although gameplay I imagine will be very different - 06/03/2012 09:00:26 PM 451 Views
"untamed wilderness" seems to indeed be the theme from what I've seen - 06/03/2012 09:21:58 PM 556 Views
