Am I the only one who found it boring, montonous, derivative, and drab?

The graphics were impressive from the perspective of realism, though, and the cover system was ok.
Personally, I've only played the horde and some of the story for the second one, and none of the first one, but from what I have played, it's awesome!
I'm a big fan of Carmine, even if he isn't a very big role in the second game, and Marcus. He's hilarious.
