If it's anything like Diablo II, you don't need anything to get into it.

It's extremely straightforward - you customise an archetype character and then kill everything you see picking up loot on the way. This game probably follows the events of Diablo II: Throne of Bhaal, but frankly story has nothing to do with this game at all.
I might be making the game sound like it's terrible, probably because I think it is, but lots of people have loved playing it for years, it's obviously got something going for it, and I wish I knew what, because that'd simplify whether you should seek out this game or avoid it.
I'd recommend finding someone who can lend you their CD of Diablo II. Can't be that hard to find, given the game's popularity. Or just try out the Diablo III beta, if it's still available. It was free and unlimited as of last week, I heard.

The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.

I did the beta weekend. It's okay. Not something I'd pay $50 for. *NM*

If I had a computer that could run it, I'd definitely buy it. As it is... maybe eventually.

No, we're just rational. If you like dungeon crawlers, get Torchlight 2 and save money. *NM*

It's what they call a combat rpg - there's not much role-playing to it, admittedly.

Character building is completely differnt from Diablo 2. It should be much harder to screw yourself.
