Exactly, it was entirely not clear which was which ironclad Send a noteboard - 17/06/2012 04:34:31 PM
I could either Control or Destroy the Reapers.

I'm not sure which I chose. I picked the Blue Light as I figured it was the Paragon choice. I think it was the Destroy option, but I'm not really sure.

I just went left and was hoping for a hint as to which choice that was. When I got none I simply went for it.

The Reapers stopped attacking. The Catalyst kind of consumed Shepard. The Relays were all destroyed while the Normandy barely escaped through one. After crash landing, Joker, the Thorean, and Shepard's assistant exited the Normandy onto a paradise planet.

Wow, just wow. My game ended as the door opened on the crash landing planet, but there was no character to be seen, leaving it entirely open as to who survived.

After the credits, a father told his son of the legend of 'The Shepard.' I'm assuming this is hundreds or thousands of years later on this paradise planet.

Same.

I would have been fine with a heroic death ending, or one with a lot of tragic losses. I am not fine with an ending that left me entirely uncertain what decision I actually made and what exactly happened due to that. So while it was epic, I am way to confused to say I liked it. If I at least had a few beloved characters step out of the Normandy on the crash planet that would have been okay. Why did I get a cut before that? Jesus Christ.

I also never got why the hell Tali committed suicide. Maybe I wasn't paying attention too well at that point but my decision to help the Geth was a decision to doom Tali's race? I hate that. I play Paragorn so I can make everyone get along and happy, not to choose the lesser of two evils (especially when I am not told the consequences).

Overall a fun game to play with very questionable story decisions. I never thought I'd say that but maybe they should have tried to dumb it down and not tell a tale of philosophical proportions that just don't work.

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.
