I mean, if you think about what the Templars keep trying to do, it's pretty damned close to Hitler's seeming goals anyways.
I do agree with Jens on the point that the tasks that are the same throughout the series get REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING by Revelations...but they do mix up the mechanics JUST ENOUGH that you don't want to stop playing either.
