Thank God for the 22-videos-long YouTube tutorial and the new wiki!

Particularly the wiki, which has been huge in getting me started. I just got my first "touched" dwarf, and I have to figure out how to get her what she needs for her item. It looks like a piece of cloth and a bar of metal, but since I currently have neither (certainly not the metal, anyways) I may be in trouble.
Like the kobold ambushers and wereelks weren't enough... and I still have to train guarddogs, not that I've even had time to figure it out yet.

Truly an epic tale! I read it already, which is what prompted me to ask for anyone else's stories. *NM*

There's a 22-video tutorial to get you started, if that helps. I didn't use it, much: just the wiki.

I love Dwarf Fortress. It's amazing. Also: it is the hardest game to learn. Ever. *NM*

Amazing game, though I haven't played much since the 2010 rework.
