And that comes pretty close, although I'm not a fan of multiplayer being necessary to get the best ending.

But mainly I'm just opposed to the belief that multiplayer and microtransactions are necessary for games to succeed. Because they aren't, and I, at least, would never participate in a microtransaction and would feel ripped off just by seeing one offered. They were present in FFXIII-2, and it felt like a rip off even there. Using them to fund multiplayer or something else of that sort is only acceptable because multiplayer is superfluous. As long as the single-player storyline arrives in its 100% form, developers can add whatever else they like. I won't pay for it, but maybe enough others will for it to be economically viable. It's just that I don't trust EA, or nearly any other companiy, to withstand the urge to start cutting into the singleplayer.

I really like innovative multiplayer types, and ME3's was pretty good. - 27/03/2013 03:02:03 AM 995 Views

It is technically possible to get the best ending without Multiplayer. - 27/03/2013 04:22:23 PM 964 Views
That's encouraging if true, but.... - 27/03/2013 10:22:47 PM 996 Views
So, what is this about the multiplayer affecting the ending of the singleplayer?? - 28/03/2013 11:20:55 AM 922 Views
It's not as insidious as it sounds- basically exists if you don't want to do sidequests (no spoiler) - 28/03/2013 01:22:41 PM 1030 Views
It's a bit more than that. - 28/03/2013 03:30:22 PM 974 Views
