I actually laughed out loud when I saw that they were excited to get 1700 responses. That's nothing. And I intend to spread the word and be all internally gleeful at the thought that it's my doing when they're ecstatic. Hah.
In the case of Penny Arcade, this does border on solicitation, so I ran it by a mod first. They're discussing it, but given they typically like to avoid "look at my blog!" stuff, even though it's not my blog, I wouldn't be terribly optimistic.
