The PC version and the mods that are available change the game into whatever you want it to be. Scaling enemies or not, more enemies or less enemies, map pointers for quests or no map pointers for quests, new weapons and armor, stronger magic, new locations, new houses . . .
I absolutely loved this game on the PC!
I spent hours and days, weeks and months of my life on this game. I was considering getting the XBox version now that I have a 360, but I just loved the PC mods so much I don't know if it'd be the same experience.
Excellent game!

Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul is the biggest one I use, plus hi-res textures & a few smaller tweaks. *NM*
