Settlers, Puerto Rico, and Poker are the staples. I also enjoy a good game of Hero Quest when I can get a group together. And Solarquest/Apples to Apples/Balderdash are always fun.


But yeah, I don't really see how board games are inherently superior to playing multiplayer video games with folks in the room. Rock Band/Mario Kart/Smash Bros/Monkey Ball/<insert FPS here> are all a bunch of fun with a group of friends.
