The last FF game with a Uematsu soundtrack was Final Fantasy 9.

10 had some Uematsu tracks, but the majority of it was by other composers. Same for 11 and 12. 13 is notable for being the first main series game to not have anything by Uematsu, but it's definitely not a new change.
Just throwing that out there, of course; not trying to change your mind or anything.

I'm not excited, because I didn't like 12 (but I'll still buy it)

It's not being made by the team who made 12, though.

I don't remember a single track from 11, 12, or x-2, so it changes nothing

Looks nice, but in some ways I miss the original

What do you mean by the "original"? Final Fantasy 1? *NM*

I don't know about Ryan, but my first FF was II for the SNES (which was actually IV in Japan). *NM*
