At the same time, I can see the other guy's side (even if I think he was an idiot for yelling at you for it). It's incredibly frustrating to lose to someone obviously worse than you. I don't play many shooters, but I used to go to quite a few Smash tournaments. Nothing much bothered me (I'm pretty easy-going most of the time), but the occasional loss to a low level player really got to me. It's a respect thing, I guess. Lose to someone like that, and you're labeled with him. Not only are you mad about losing, but you're mad about what people assume based on the result. Makes you want to stand up and yell "shut up! That was a fluke, I'm better than that!" ...but of course you can't, for sportsmanship reasons. You have to congratulate the guy, just as if he had anything to do with the win.

Anyway, I understand his frustration. I can control of myself, though, (and will generally apply my mood toward particular destruction of the opponent in the next match) while this guy obviously could not. I can see his point of view, but there's still no excuse for behavior like that.

Take it as a compliment, and move on. Sounds like you had a great night of shootin'.
