It's not a difficult game. And the plot, while good, and the world, while deep, isn't enough in and of itself to make it worth it.

Obviously, set it to your playstyle, but I'd say put it on hard so the gameplay is challenging enough not to become mind-bogglingly boring. Ignore the sideplanets that don't seem to have any major quests on them. Enjoy.


Otherwise, you'll be playing through a 40+hour game going "gahhh this is torture, everything is so easy and boring"


Analogy: Xenogears was awesome, but the second disc had very little gameplay and tons of story, so people don't like the second half very much.
