I've never played either of those...maybe after I finish Mass Effect and Gears of War I'll try it

It plays more akin to God of War and Devil May Cry. But it was done fairly well and doesn't feel like a knock off at all. You can tell the designers put a lot of thought in to the level design (especially once you get INTO hell). Most of these games have Demos available on Xbox Live for you to try out.
Yeah, I know I'm playing old games...but they're cheap.
I ended up going with Mass Effect, Oblivion, Mirror's Edge and Lost Odyssey
