I rarely if ever pre-order games, but it seems like pre-orders generally come with some bonus content. A free piece of DLC, or a beta-key to the company's next game, or maybe even a soundtrack if you're particularly lucky. I haven't seen anything like that for FFXIII. The best I've seen is a free 30 page booklet of "excerpts from the official strategy guide," which is little more than an advertising brochure. I suppose the lack of gimmicks is because retailers know full well that the game will sell itself, but still, it'd be nice to get SOMETHING. Then again, maybe I just have an exaggerated sense of entitlement. :P

Anyway, did you get anything when you preordered? If so, where did you do your preorderin'? If anyone else managed to snag a preorder bonus, feel free to chime in.


I didn't get anything besides that same little booklet that you did. But then as you said, with an FF game, I didn't really expect to get anything. Its not like they can give me a multiplayer map or some such. And then, and this is just me, but FF memorbelia doesn't do it for me. I mean, unless they give me a real size, fully functional gunblade...I won't care.

I reserved everything at GameStop. Normally a store I avoid, but its the same price everywhere....
